GRADING
It is important to make sure that surface water is directed away from the foundation of the home. Over time, the slope of the grading surrounding the house may change as the dirt settles. If large amounts of settling occur, water can actually change direction and flow toward the house. If it is practical , the soil should stay approximately six inches below the siding or sill plate and extend out as far as possible to distribute the water. It is very important to add soil as needed in order to maintain the proper slope for drainage. We can help in this area.
